AI Slop Games Steal Peak’s Shine – Why It Sucks

Last week, I streamed Peak with my buddies. We laughed so hard at those bobblehead guys tumbling down cliffs. It’s pure fun chaos. Then I saw the news. Cheap AI copies are everywhere now. It feels like someone stole our inside joke and sold it back to us. Why should we care? It’s not just about one game.

These rip-offs hurt all small game makers. Think about it. Teams like Aggro Crab pour their hearts into games during jams. They made Peak in a crazy creative sprint. Now AI slop floods stores using their hard work. It’s lazy cash grabs. When I see those fake Peak clones, my blood boils. They look wrong, like a bad dream version. It steals the soul.

Remember Wordle or Unpacking? Same thing happened. Clones always pop up after hits. But AI makes it worse. Way worse. Anyone can pump out junk now. No skill needed. Just type “make Peak clone” and boom – storefront trash. These fakes aren’t even real games half the time. Just ads wrapped in stolen art. They trick players wanting the real deal.

Fighting back is super tough. Big companies like Nintendo sue, but small devs can’t. They lack time and cash. Reporting clones feels like whack-a-mole. One goes down, two pop up. Even lawyers say copyright can’t protect game ideas. AI clones might be sneakier too. They don’t always copy assets directly. Makes lawsuits harder. So what can we do?

Here’s the hope. Players and devs are shouting louder. Aggro Crab told fans: pirate us before buying Roblox slop! That’s gutsy. Store fronts must step up too. Tighter checks before games go live. We vote with our wallets. Skip the AI junk. Support real human-made games. Why settle for slop when you can have the real meal?
